Beyond Tellerrand Berlin 2022

· 2 min read

I had the pleasure of attending Beyond Tellerrand for the first time in September. Having heard so much about the conference from friends and on Twitter, it’s been on my hit list for some time, so I was thrilled when I realised I could make it. It also happens to be in one of my favourite cities, Berlin, so I immediately booked my ticket when the chance arose.

I cover the trip’s details in an episode of Off Script with James, so head over there to listen to how the conference went down. There was a good variety of speakers covering all sorts of creative subjects. I left feeling inspired to get home and plan my next creative endeavour.

Marc is a fantastic host, and the day feels very relaxed with an excellent (but not pushy) emphasis on networking. I loved the mention of the PacMan rule to ensure someone can always get involved in a conversation and join your group. You don’t appreciate it when you’re running your own conference, but it’s incredibly galvanising to see so many people buzzing off great talks and conversations—and not forgetting Tobi Lessnow, who rehashes sound bites from each talk into ambient music during the breaks. It’s things like this that make this event truly unique.

I recommend you get a ticket to the Düsseldorf 2023 event as soon as possible! The line-up is tremendous and includes Cassie Evans, who we were fortunate enough to have at All Day Hey! in 2021.

Take a look at the event on the Beyond Tellerrand site.
